An invitation to lean into the climate crisis, and learn about solutions that are within our hands
tUrn climate crisis awareness and action week has become one of the largest continuing conferences at Santa Clara University, with 10,000 participants from around the world. It is an interdisciplinary, intercultural, interfaith, intergenerational and international gathering of people from all disciplines and worldviews, that features science-based research and solutions, and the perspectives and leadership of people living at the frontlines of the climate crisis..
tUrn is led by Teaching Professor Kristin Kusanovich, who mentors over a dozen undergraduate students on the tUrn crew. tUrn is an intense site for in-depth and breadth of learning for students seeking to develop their climate leadership capacities in programming and presentations, project management, creativity, embodied solidarity, and climate justice.
tUrn weeks happen every April and October and funding students to work with tUrn is an important need of the project. Students are exposed to climate solutions in every field from ecology to economics, sociology to science, law to laudato si’…and they learn from the 25 headliners that are free and open to the public offered each tUrn week..
Consider donating to tUrn. Your gifts support curricular and co-curricular experiences for tUrn student interns who are working to make the world a more harmonious, balanced, safe and nurturing place for now and the future, for all humans and beings.
