Can mindful shopping spark systemic change? At Bucky’s Closet, we know it can.
Since Bucky’s Closet opened its doors in Fall 2024, students rehomed 7,500+ lbs of clothing, offsetting enough energy to power an average home for 14 years. As a model for a circular economy at SCU, this student-run thrift shop provides free professional clothing and essentials, diverting waste while cultivating a culture of reuse.
