For 20 years, SCU has worked to minimize our impact on the planet by reducing resource consumption and expanding clean energy use. With the recent completion of the three-phase Bird Solar Initiative, we’ve added 3.2 million kWh of clean energy, doubling the University's on-site solar generation. But our response to the climate crisis requires going beyond doing less harm. It demands healing.

The Climate Action Fund is the engine of our systemic change, not only accelerating our path to becoming a climate-positive university, but serving as a model for addressing climate impact with “depth, courage, and hope."
