Supporting Students at the Most Fundamental Level
The Bronco Food Pantry is an essential part of SCU’s Basic Needs efforts, providing non-perishable food items and fresh produce from SCU’s Forge Garden to more than 300 students each academic year. By offering a range of options, the pantry allows students to choose items that meet their dietary and nutritional needs, preserving both dignity and independence.
In the past year alone, the pantry has supported over 1,000 student visits, reflecting a growing and essential need within our community. This work is grounded in SCU’s Jesuit values of compassion and social justice, helping to create a more equitable and supportive campus environment.
Your gift can make an immediate difference. With your support, we can continue to ensure that every student has reliable access to the nourishment they need to focus, thrive, and succeed.
“Receiving the emergency gift card and access to the Bronco Food Pantry made a meaningful difference for me. With the high cost of rent and overall living expenses in this area, it can be challenging to stay financially on track, especially while managing a limited student income. The support helped ease some of that pressure by covering essential groceries, which saved me both time and money. Because of this assistance, I was able to focus more on my studies instead of worrying as much about daily expenses. It truly reduced a significant amount of stress during the quarter. I’m very grateful for this program and for the donors who make it possible. I hope my experience helps demonstrate how impactful this support can be for students.”
