Empower Community!
With over 20 student organizations in the School of Engineering alone, it is evident that these groups are an essential part of university life, shaping students' overall college experience. Student organizations offer opportunities to explore and pursue interests beyond the classroom and foster a sense of community with like-minded individuals.
Your support of any of our Engineering Student Organizations fosters leadership, networking, and hands-on learning, enriching the student experience and strengthening the engineering community.
American Society of Civil Engineers
The SCU chapter of ASCE supports civil engineering students through career fairs, site tours, workshops, and community outreach that connect students with Bay Area professionals and foster a tight-knit community within the Civil, Environmental, and Sustainable Engineering department. Your donation supports our competition teams, giving students hands-on experience designing and building projects like a Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge to compete against chapters across California and the nation.
American Society of Mechanical Engineers
A student organization that focuses on nurturing students' interest in mechanical engineering subjects, as well as aiding in their professional development, and broadening of career prospects. We will be raising funds to organize workshops that help students develop engineering skills, and professional connections, to aid them in their career outside the walls of our campus.
Association of Computing Machinery
A community for students passionate about computer science, providing real-world skills through workshops, hackathons, and collaborative projects. We partner with companies like Amazon, ByteDance, AMD, and ServiceNow to connect members with networking opportunities, mentorship, and potential jobs and internships within a supportive, tight-knit community where students grow as engineers and innovators.
Association for Computing Machinery - Women's Chapter
Dedicated to supporting and advocating for women in computing by creating an inclusive environment where members can learn, grow, and pursue their passion for computer science. We host workshops, alumni and industry mentorship events, and opportunities like our annual Hack for Humanity hackathon and conferences across America like the Grace Hopper Conference. Your donation directly funds these experiences and empowers SCU women in computing.
Biomedical Engineering Society
The Biomedical Engineering Society at SCU empowers students to grow as future innovators through hands-on design projects, conference attendance, and career fairs that connect members with leading biotech companies. Your donation invests in the next generation of biomedical engineers giving them the real-world experience and industry connections needed to pursue careers that advance healthcare and improve lives.
Blockchain@SCU
Dedicated to educating and engaging students in the rapidly evolving fields of blockchain technology, Web3, and decentralized applications. We foster a collaborative environment where members build technical skills, explore innovative use cases, and connect with industry professionals. Your donation helps us host hands-on workshops, bring guest speakers to campus, and sponsor students at major conferences — directly empowering the next generation of decentralized tech leaders.
Engineers Without Borders SCU
Committed to working and collaborating alongside international and national community members to provide resources and meet basic human needs. Through engineering solutions we aim to promote a more sustainable and community-driven environment that empowers people to solve global challenges. We are raising funds to supply equipment and to send our club members internationally to volunteer in construction efforts to ensure water systems operate smoothly.
National Society of Black Engineers
Dedicated to increasing the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact their communities. Through conferences, workshops, mentorship programs, and connections to Bay Area companies, we provide members with the academic support, professional development, and networks they need to thrive. Your donation helps us send more students to regional and national conferences and expand the programming that drives diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM.
Santa Clara Formula SAE (Bronco Racing)
A student-led organization that designs, builds, and competes with an electric race car in the international Formula SAE competition, bringing together students from engineering, business, and beyond. Your donation supports hands-on experience in project management, manufacturing, and innovation, helping students convert classroom knowledge into real-world skills as they represent Santa Clara at national competitions.
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers
Committed to fostering a familia where members thrive through social and professional development, supported by programs like MentorSHPE and SHPEtinas that cultivate mentorship and community. Your donation helps us attend the SHPE National Convention, where last year 12 of our students attended, 80% landed interviews, and 50% received job offers — making it one of the highest-impact opportunities we offer our members.
Society of Women Engineers
Strives to empower women to pursue and achieve excellence in STEM. Furthering the notion of engineering for the greater good and demonstrating the need for diversity and inclusion in this industry. Through our social events on campus we connect SCU students by hosting community-based events for our members to destress and connect with their peers. We also host professional events with Silicon Valley companies committed to diversity in engineering, providing more opportunities for underrepresented demographics.
Theta Tau (Upsilon Epsilon Chapter of Theta Tau)
Theta Tau is SCU's only Co-ed Professional Engineering Fraternity, built on three pillars: Service, Brotherhood, and Professional Development. Your donation directly supports service events, brotherhood bonding, professional development workshops, and general chapter costs empowering the next generation of Bronco engineers and leaders! Theta Tau is more than an organization, it is a place for Bronco engineers to discover their call in engineering and build the confidence to pursue their roles.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Student Chapter
Dedicated to fostering technological innovation and excellence among students. We aim to connect students with the world’s largest technical professional organization, and to support environments where students develop skills and realize the opportunities across all aspects of electrical and computing fields. We organized workshops and speaker events often collaborating with SCU alumni and local industries in the Silicon Valley.
