The Ohlone and Muwekma Ohlone Scholarship Fund
The Ohlone and Muwekma Ohlone Scholarship Fund was inspired by the first Indigenous People’s Day event at SCU in October 2018 and was endorsed by the Ohlone History Working group in their 2020 report. This endowed scholarship is open to all undergraduate students who support the mission of honoring and recognizing the Ohlone and Muwekma Ohlone communities. Additionally, consideration will be given to students who demonstrate a commitment to collaborating with and supporting the Ohlone and Muwekma Ohlone community and show financial need.
Ohlone Initiatives
Santa Clara University is built upon the ancestral lands of the Ohlone people. Our Ohlone Initiatives honor this profound legacy by supporting a wide range of programs open to all that educate our community, celebrate Indigenous culture, and foster meaningful collaboration with tribal partners. These initiatives—including the annual Ohlone Campout, vibrant Pow Wows, insightful symposiums, museum exhibits, and ongoing community collaborations—are essential to our commitment to truth, reconciliation, and respectful engagement. Your gift sustains these vital programs, ensuring that the history, culture, and contemporary presence of the Ohlone people remain central to the SCU experience.
