Explore the Outdoors with Into the Wild
Into the Wild connects Santa Clara University students with the natural world. We lead overnight and day trips every single weekend of the quarter, welcoming 1,000+ students each year on adventures ranging from day hikes and car camping to backpacking, rafting, kayaking, backcountry skiing, and surfing. Our trips take students to destinations like the Grand Canyon, Zion, Big Sur, and Maui.
What your gift makes possible:
Into the Wild works hard to keep all trips affordable so that no student is priced out of the outdoors. Your donation directly funds Wilderness First Responder training for every trip leader, as well as gear rentals such as backpacks, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, headlamps, and tents available to all students. Funds also go toward keeping costs low for overnight trips, spring break trips, and collaboration trips with other SCU clubs, and toward supporting sustainability initiatives, including Leave No Trace education, vegetarian meals, and partnerships with the Forge Garden and the Center for Sustainability.
We design every trip to be accessible to students of all backgrounds and experience levels, categorizing trips by skill level so anyone can find their fit, from a first-time hiker to an experienced mountaineer. Your gift keeps the outdoors open to every Bronco.
