Empower Future Leaders Through History

Thank you for supporting the History Department on this annual Day of Giving! Our present predicaments and future trials can often be best understood by mastering the past. Supporting the study of history is a vital investment in challenging times, since it equips us with the ability to meet all new challenges.

Your generosity enables the History Department to support many student opportunities, including the Student Summer Research Stipend for rising seniors who will be writing their senior history thesis, and History-specific summer internships.

Donations also support the History Club, SCU’s chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society, registration for and travel to the Phi Alpha Theta regional conferences, the department’s annual student scholarship awards, and the publication of our award-winning undergraduate research journal, Historical Perspectives, which has won first or second place in the Gerald D. Nash History Undergraduate Print Journal Competition for several years in a row!
