Champion Creativity and Cultural Leadership
The Department of Art and Art History is growing—expanding programs, deepening student engagement, and preparing students for creative and cultural leadership. In recent years, we’ve launched innovative minors in Animation & Illustration, Arts Management, and Graphic Design alongside our growing Studio Art and Art History programs. These offerings combine creativity, technology, critical thinking, and professional experience, attracting students from across Arts and Sciences, Engineering, and Business. Your support helps fund student exhibitions, internships, visiting artists, research opportunities, and the materials and resources that make hands-on learning possible.
Creativity is alive in our studios, galleries, and classrooms! Students mount exhibitions, present capstone work to industry professionals, curate museum shows, and conduct original research locally and globally. Faculty excellence—recognized through major teaching, research, and creative awards—ensures students learn from practicing artists and scholars who embody SCU’s teacher-scholar model.
On this Day of Giving, your contribution directly empowers our students to create, research, exhibit, and lead—on campus and beyond. Help ignite imaginations and raise the voices of cultural leaders and changemakers at SCU!
