Men’s Tennis
Santa Clara Men’s Tennis continues to build momentum as one of the rising programs in the West Coast Conference while developing student-athletes who compete at a high level and represent the University with excellence both on the court and in the classroom.
The Broncos have made significant strides nationally, climbing into the Top 40 in the ITA national rankings after finishing No. 73 last season, marking one of the program’s strongest competitive stretches in recent years. During the 2025–26 fall season, two Broncos qualified for the NCAA Individual Championships as a doubles team — the first pair in program history to achieve the distinction. The program’s success continued this spring with a 13-match winning streak and a perfect start in West Coast Conference play, highlighting the team’s continued rise.
The program’s growth has been guided by strong leadership from Head Coach Niall Angus, who recently became the winningest coach in program history with his 131st career victory. In his tenth season leading the Broncos, Angus has helped elevate Santa Clara Tennis into a nationally competitive program while continuing to recruit and develop outstanding student-athletes from around the world.
Santa Clara Men’s Tennis is also a globally connected program, featuring seven international student-athletes and consistently attracting highly ranked international recruits who bring diverse perspectives and competitive experience to the team.
The demanding nature of collegiate tennis builds discipline, resilience, and leadership—qualities that prepare Santa Clara student-athletes for success long after their playing careers. Your support helps ensure the continued growth and national visibility of Santa Clara Men’s Tennis and the student-athletes who proudly represent the Broncos.
