Santa Clara Beach Volleyball continues to grow as one of the most exciting and rapidly developing programs within Bronco Athletics. As one of the NCAA’s fastest-growing sports, beach volleyball provides a unique platform for Santa Clara student-athletes to compete at a high level while expanding the visibility of the University among a rapidly growing national audience.

The Broncos have continued to build strong momentum throughout the 2026 season, including an undefeated performance on the opening day of the LBSU Invitational with a win over No. 24 UAB, home victories over USF and Pacific, a second sweep of San Jose State, and a strong showing at the Boise State Beach Classic. These results reflect the program’s continued growth and its ability to compete successfully against strong regional and nationally recognized opponents.

The program’s growth has also been fueled by an outstanding coaching staff. Assistant Coach Lance Muret, one of the sport’s rising coaching talents, was recently recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association with its 2026 Thirty Under 30 College Award, honoring the most promising young coaches in collegiate volleyball. Muret has played a key role in the Broncos’ recent success, including the program’s record-tying 18-win season in 2025, its first victory over a nationally ranked opponent in a decade, and a runner-up finish at the West Coast Conference Championship Tournament.
