Baseball
Santa Clara Baseball is known across campus as the “Bronco Boys,” recognized not only for their competitiveness on the field, but also for their character, leadership, and strong presence within the Bronco community. The program has built a reputation for supporting fellow Bronco teams, engaging across campus, and representing Santa Clara with pride both on and off the field.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Rusty Filter, the Broncos have experienced a resurgence in recent seasons. Since taking over the program in 2018, Filter has guided Santa Clara to a sustained period of success, including the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in more than 25 years in 2023 after capturing the WCC Tournament championship. The Broncos have also posted four consecutive 20+ win seasons and back-to-back postseason appearances, signaling a strong upward trajectory for the program.
The program’s success has extended beyond the field. Santa Clara Baseball student-athletes have earned numerous West Coast Conference All-Academic honors, reflecting the program’s commitment to excellence in the classroom as well as in competition.
Support for Santa Clara Baseball helps the Bronco Boys continue to compete with pride, represent the University with character, and build on the momentum of one of the program’s most exciting eras.
Your gift plays an important role in sustaining the tradition and future success of Bronco Baseball.
