The Santa Clara Women’s Rugby team is in an exciting period of growth, momentum, and rising competitiveness, while also serving as a true home away from home for its athletes. After placing second in our league last year and earning second place at the Scrum by the Sea tournament in our first appearance—where we competed strongly against multiple Division I teams—we have proven that our program belongs on a bigger stage. Beyond competition, our team provides a strong sense of belonging, support, and community that helps players thrive both on and off the field during their time at SCU. As we set our sights on elevated competition and long-term Division I aspirations, increased funding is essential to sustain this upward trajectory. Donations during Day of Giving help fund travel, equipment, and postseason opportunities while ensuring our rugby family continues to grow and remain accessible to all who want to be part of it.
